Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Kibale National Park
- Morning: Departure from Kampala or Entebbe. The 308km journey (approx. 5-6 hours) takes you through lush tea plantations and rolling hills.
- Afternoon: Arrive in the Kibale region. Experience the beauty of the “pointing hills” and vibrant local trading centers.
- Evening: Check into your lodge at the edge of the forest to the sounds of the jungle.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
- Morning: Briefing at Kanyachu Park headquarters. Enter the forest to track some of the park’s 13 primate species. Spend 1-2 hours observing chimpanzees as they groom, feed, and interact.
- Afternoon: Lunch at the lodge followed by a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp. This sanctuary is home to 200 bird species, including the Great Blue Turaco, as well as Sitatungas, mongooses, and baboons.
- Evening: Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.
- Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
- Morning: Drive to the most visited savannah in Uganda. The route takes you to the Uganda Equator for a stopover, photographs, and geographical experiments.
- Afternoon: Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park, a gateway to volcanic crater lakes and the famous Kazinga Channel.

- Evening: Overnight stay within the Ishasha region.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest & Gorilla Trekking
- Morning: Depart the savannah for the rugged, mist-covered mountains of Bwindi.
- The Trek: Briefing at the park headquarters followed by an immersion into Africa’s oldest forest. Spend one hour with the mountain gorillas, observing their social structures and nesting habits.
- Afternoon: Optional visit to the local Batwa (Pygmy) and Bakiga communities or the Buniga Forest Walk at Nkuringo to learn about traditional forest lore.
